My childhood was never easy. I tested positive for cystic fibrosis at just 6 weeks old, and the complications grew from there. I have been in and out of the hospital my entire life, and have had a number of scares. Through it all, my family has supported me, and none of us has ever accepted failure as an option. I am now 22, extremely active in MMA and martial arts, and truly believe that it is not how high your ups are or how low your downs, but how high you are able to raise yourself during tough times.
